“ It's hard to go wrong with creamy vanilla ice cream blended with fresh fruit. My friends both got the blackberry ice cream, while I opted for the strawberry with sweetened condensed milk. When we visited here on a Friday afternoon, there was no line at all. We ordered at the counter and ate our ice cream at a picnic table on the patio. I would say it lives up to the hype. Would I wait in a super long line to get it? Probably not. Is it delicious? For sure! ”
“ Omg I found this place by just looking for icecream and it lived up to the good reviews it was soo good. You get to pick a fruit they blend with vanilla ice cream and some toppings. The line was super long at 930 pm on a Friday but it moved quickly. I got blackberry with chocolate and the bunelo crunch. Honestly the blackberry woulda been even better with honey or caramel but the chocolate was still really good. My friend got blueberry with Carmel and was perfect. So worth the wait and hype I can't wait to come try more. Was about 7 bucks for a small. ”
“ it was packed on a regular thursday night! the line was super long but moved relatively fast. I thought that it was gonna be like sorbet but it was more cream based which I definitely prefer. we got blueberry and blackberry with coconut cream, I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the two but both were very good! I liked the coconut cream but it was sweet enough without it. fair warning if you're a texture person there are a lot of seeds in the ice cream ”
“ Zed's is a quaint ice cream store tucked in between a residential area. Got their #1 and #2 special aka their banana ice cream special and chocolate strawberry one. The banana ice cream is pretty subtle and paired well with the lechere sauce. As for the strawberry one, I enjoyed it but definitely could have picked better toppings than cookie dough. Also, would recommend getting their waffle cone, it was quite good. Kind of a hassle to get there on bus if you're a UT student without a car and there's limited seating. Tried and true though, I enjoyed it. ”
“ Ended my night at zeds. It's a small building with some food trucks surrounding it and plenty of tables and benches to sit outside. They also have a fenced off turf area, that I'm guessing is for kids as there was a sign that said no pets. I got there around 9pm and it was packed with a decent sized line. Fortunately it moved pretty quick. The people working were fast and friendly. I got a non dairy vanilla ice cream. Tbh I wanted to try a non dairy ice cream and I don't hold it against them that I didn't like it. It obviously wasn't as creamy as regular ice cream but it also had a very heavy coconut flavor which I didn't enjoy. However I tried someone's regular ice cream and it was great. ”
“ Worth the hype! Parked in the neighborhood nearby no problem. There was a long line but they did move at a decent pace. I got their special that had strawberry ice cream and cookie dough and it was absolutely perfect. Their portions are generous and they were fast despite such a long line. Have been craving it since, I know I will be returning! ”
“ It was 20 degree out and wanted to try this ice cream spot. It is a walk up window service. They are made with fresh fruits. The vegan pineapple was so good. Lightly sweet with real pineapple chucks and the vegan vanilla ice cream is a bit coconuty. The strawberry with sprinkles was a bit tart and not too sweet. The cashier was very patient and nice. And we get to see how the ice cream was made on the window while we were waiting. Definitely glad we made a stop here. ”
“ I just tried Zed's Ice Cream for the first time and it is such a cool spot with a unique concept of using real fruit for their ice cream flavors. You can actually watch through the window as they mix the different fruits into the ice cream. They offer three pre made flavors but also offer a build your own option. I tried the chocolate covered strawberry flavor with a strawberry base, chocolate syrup, and oreos instead of sprinkles. It was so yummy. The strawberry tasted super fresh and the oreos added the perfect crunch. I really liked the lightness of the ice cream and how it felt like a healthier alternative to overly sweet desserts. The service was also great. The atmosphere was so cute. It's located outdoors with plenty of seating. I can definitely see the line getting crazy long in the summertime. ”
“ I have been living in walking distance from this establishment since June 2023, but I never got to eat it because the lines were always so excruciatingly long. I had a craving for ice cream, but I am dairy free so I decided to take a light walk to check it out. The staff was incredibly friendly and was super helpful when trying to make a decision. I decided to order a chocolate peanut butter drizzle special (I don't know the name) and it was phenomenal. Looking at the menu, the beer prices were really high and there were a few choices. However, I understand that if you're going to wait over 35 minutes for ice cream, then you might wanna grab a beer while you wait. I can't wait to try all the different fruit flavors and I'll definitely be back! There were few tables to sit and eat but everything was super clean and tidy, especially the kitchen. ”
“ Zeds is probably my favourite ice cream place here in Austin! They have a variety of flavours and blueberry and banana are def my to go one. The ice cream texture is really soft and I really enjoy it. They just built a nice sitting area near by so you can enjoy eating ice cream in a shade area. We usually come by during the day since the waiting line gets long around the evening time. Highly recommend it if you are in the area! ”
